My Injustice slideshow

In class we have been doing a topic about injustice. Injustice is sort of another way of saying its unfair. My topic is about Parihaka and how the Maori got treated unfairly. It really makes me realise and it helped me understand what happened in Parihaka. Its crazy to think that they got their land stolen off them and how they had to leave their homes and go to Parihaka. Earlier this year the government finally gave an apology to the people of Parihaka they also gave them money for their children to go to university. Click the My Injustice Slideshow to see my presentation about Parihaka.

The Shed

Rain drips off the roof of the open shed. Hay bales lay stacked up against the far wall forming a comfy seat. The wide open space had a rough smell of cut grass. Rats scurried through the leaky roof. Sitting alone on a cold wet day.

One Wish

If you had one wish what would you wish for? Tell me in the comments I would like to find out what you would wish for.

Zoom Out

You are invited to build on to the story by adding a comment. This means you need to zoom out of the image below with your imagination...like who is holding the ice cream? What else might be in the picture if you zoomed out a bit? What might happen next?
Be sure to read others' comments first, and continue the story, by zooming out even further. We could build an amazing story. Give it a go!

So, here is the start of the story...

Agent 1 and 2 stood in front of their master shivering with fear.

Life Straws

 Life Straws
life straws are usually used in different country's where theres not much clean water for them to drink like a muddy stream. They are also used for campers and trampers.
The Life straw is a hollow-membrane filter built into a straw. You place straw into the water, and drink. Sucking the water up through the straw forces it through the filter, which removes 99.9999% of bacteria, and 99.9% of protozoa, down to 0.2 microns, with a filter that lasts for 1000 litres.
How long do they last?
the life straw can filter up to 1,000 litres (264 gallons). If you used it every day for the amount you need per day than the life straw would last about one year if you used it just for camping tramping and outdoor activities then it will last longer.
Life Straws save lives.

Rabbit Island

I can see the sea with the small waves rolling on to the sand
slowly creeping higher up the beach.
I can hear the noise of people patting down the sand while their sculptures
are moulding into shape.
I feel the wet sand underneath my feet while I run towards the water.
I can taste some of the salty water in my mouth while i'm spitting it out.
The trip to the beach was inspiring.
